A tranquil forest shrine UE5 environment inspired by natural beauty of Japan, Ghost of Tsushima game and one of incredible concepts of Romain Jouandeau from GOT artbook. My goal was to create a scene that feels alive and deeply connected to the natural world.
These miniature shrines are often placed in natural environments to mark sacred spaces and offer protection to travelers. The scene is adorned with a shimenawa (sacred rope) and shide paper streamers, symbolizing purification and the presence of the divine. On the altar, you'll find sakaki branches - a sacred evergreen used in rituals - flanking a ceremonial incense burner, where ash remains as a sign of the past offerings. Two candles represents spiritual presence and light in the darkness.
